Mobile River Bridge: Contractor’s chief engineer responsible for bidding and engineering of temporary works facilities on the Interstate I-65 twin bridges over the Mobile River, Ala. Included engineer-of-record responsibility for design of sheet pile cofferdams for excavation for main pier foundations 83 ft below river bottom using the punching-through form of staged construction with multiple levels of internal bracing, H-piles and tremie seal. Also included approach pier cofferdams (pictured).
